This town is totally dead between 00.30 and 01.30 (yes, at night) on a Sunday.

I've just been a walk for an hour and haven't seen one person or even a car with anybody in. And this walk was along main roads. I did see several cats though.

There's a proper term for everything...

From the article:

Some people class themselves as involuntarily celibate because they are not in a relationship at the moment, though they have been in the past. Critics to this view suggest that the proper label for this is simply being "single"...

Try never having had a relationship. I suppose if there's a term for it then there may be more of us than I thought.

An odd fact about my life which popped into my head a bit earlier...

I was about 15 before I figured it was OK not to like the kind of music my parents liked. My mother doesn't really like music and my father likes old 50s/60s type stuff and general MOR stuff from the late 80s.

Up until 15 I always assumed I should like the same stuff. From then on I started to buy my own CDs and discovered that my tastes were a bit different - I tend to like everything from hard rock to folk.

The first CDs I ever bought were Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" and The Lightning Seeds' "Jollification". The most recent were Kathleen Edwards' "Asking For Flowers" and Laura Marling's "Alas I Cannot Swim".
